Commander Index is a mobile app for Magic: The Gathering Commander playgroups. It scores deck power, logs matches your table confirms, tracks pods and statistics, runs a game timer and life tracker, and reads card names from photographs you take. These terms cover both the app and this website.

This website exists to explain the app, to handle account recovery, and to take Supporter payments. Everything you actually do happens in the app.

By creating an account or using either, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

You need a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for anything done through your account. Do not share an account or create multiple accounts to evade a restriction.

Some of the app works without an account at all, the game tracker in particular. Where that is true, we say so in the app rather than requiring a sign-up you do not need.

You must be old enough to consent to these terms where you live. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Every feature of Commander Index is free. Scoring, match logging, pods, statistics, challenges, deck imports, the game tracker and the card scanner do not require payment and never will. The Supporter tier is cosmetic: it removes advertising and unlocks additional themes, a custom accent colour, image uploads and a marker beside your name. Nothing functional sits behind it.

Price and billing. Supporter costs $5 per month in US dollars, billed by Stripe on this website rather than through an app store. It renews automatically each month until cancelled. The price shown at checkout is the price charged; if we change it, existing subscribers are told before the change applies to them.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on this site, or by emailing us. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end the current period. You keep Supporter benefits until the period you have already paid for runs out, and you are not charged again.

Refunds. Payments are not refunded automatically, because what you bought is not consumed. If something has gone wrong, such as a duplicate charge, a subscription you did not authorise, benefits that never arrived, email us and we will sort it out. Statutory rights to a refund where you live are unaffected by anything written here.

If we ever stop offering Supporter, we will stop taking payments before we stop providing the benefits, and we will say so in advance.

The app shows a single banner advertisement, and never during a game. Supporters see none at all. Advertising is not personalised. Every request is made with personalisation disabled, for everyone, everywhere. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.

You keep ownership of what you create: deck lists, scores, match records, profile details and anything you submit. You grant us only the permission needed to run the Service: to store your content, and to show it to the people you have chosen to show it to, such as your pod or the players in a match you logged.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use it to train anything.

You agree not to submit content that is abusive, harassing or discriminatory; that contains hate speech or personal attacks; that is spam or advertising; that breaks the law; that infringes someone else's rights; or that impersonates another person.

A logged match stays pending until the other human players in it confirm, and auto-confirms after three days if nobody disputes it. The person who logged a match cannot confirm it themselves. Statistics count only settled matches.

A deck's score can be challenged by players who have actually faced that deck. A challenge that carries is advisory: you are notified, and you decide whether to adopt it. Nobody can change your score without you.

Use these in good faith. Deliberate mis-scoring, vexatious challenges and harassment through either system may cost you access to them.

We use automated filters and reports from players to keep things civil. We may review reported content, remove what breaks these terms, and restrict accounts. If you think we have got it wrong, email us and we will look at it again.

You can delete your account from within the app at any time. Deleting it cancels any active subscription and removes your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy. Some records of matches involving other players may remain in their history, without your personal details attached.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why.

The Service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, free of faults, or that data will never be lost. We take reasonable care with backups and security, but you should not treat Commander Index as the only record of anything you would be upset to lose.

Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast LLC, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. Magic: The Gathering and Commander are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast.

Card data and images come from Scryfall and are used under their terms. The Commander Index name, logo and the app itself belong to Guardian Digital Studios, L.L.C.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including lost data, lost access, or interruption. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may revise these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. For changes that materially affect you, meaning pricing, your rights, or what we do with your content, we will give notice in the app or by email before they take effect, rather than relying on you to re-read this page.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
